50mm f1.8 II and other things

I finally got a chance to try out the new lens the other day. At first, it took some getting used to – the auto focus is quite different, and there’s no zoom, so you’ve got to move your butt a lot more. I do quite enjoy the results, and it should come in very handy for photographing the garden this year. Behold the results:
Ross, Nugget and I also went for a bit of a stroll today down to the Main Street market. I prefer this market to the one at Lansdowne for several reasons. First of all, it’s smaller and less overwhelming, secondly, there are fewer children, and thirdly, there are fewer entitled Glebeocrats. I took a few photos on the walk, but the light was pretty rough, so the photos aren’t great.
