One of the things I love about the fall is being inclined to cook again. During the summer, I rarely want to turn the oven on, and as a result, we often suffer for lack of baked goods. Not so this week. Ross was busy baking break, making granola, and hummus, while I roasted squash (for a squash soup), made an apple cake, as well as a noodle salad.
I’m also resigned to the fact that it might frost soon, so am slowly pulling the garden in. It was a busy weekend, but it felt good to get so much done and know that we’ll eat well this week, regardless of how our schedules evolve.
