On Saturday, I went out with my friend Andrea to photograph her and her horse, Reno. Last time I worked with horses was at my friend Erika’s farm, and I was a bit disappointed with the results. Turns out photographing horses is pretty darn tough. I think it’s a proportion / perspective issue.
Anyway, here are a few of the best shots of the day. I’m pretty happy with them, particularly considering the lighting conditions.
I tried to capture a bit of the sense of speed here using a slow shutter speed and panning with the motion – I think it turned out okay. It was the most in-focus version that I got.
