Obviously, one of the greatest things about Havana is the architecture. Not only is the Spanish colonial really great, but the art deco is fantastic as well. In fact, I think the art deco may have been our favourite part of the architecture.
While Havana Vieja is being renovated at an astonishing rate, the same isn’t necessarily true for central Havana. If you look closely, there are two ladies who clearly live in this house in this photograph: one in the window on the second floor, and one on the roof.
A lot of Havana’s art deco is well maintained or restored. Much of is is also hotels.
Or government buildings, like the old Bacardi building.
But we also found this little gem of a place – a pharmacy in Miramar (I think). Super cool!
