In Havana, Ross and I didn’t see a lot of street art. What we did see was mostly supportive of the revolution. I suspect that anything that isn’t is removed fairly quickly. There also wasn’t that much public art – sculptures and whatnot in plazas and stuff. Not sure why that is, but when we arrived in Havana, the sculpture below was being installed in Plaza Vieja.
There were also some murals in Central Havana that were interesting.
And of course the state-sponsored iconography…..
